A reminder for the distressed heart

"Indeed if Allah decrees your relief it will come from where you do not expect. When the world constrains someone, in particular if people let you down and, if the loved ones and close ones desert you, if you depended on someone, and they let you down and if you put your hope in someone after Allah, and they don’t come through. It’s at that point, you know that Allah wants you to turn to Him. The happiest person in the world is he who turns his face to Allah and the one who submits his heart to Allah. Be certain that relief will come, if the people try to humiliate you, then know that it is not them that honor or humiliate. If the people mock you and you are asking them to assist you then know that they do not possess the power to benefit or harm even themselves and they do not possess the power to give, take or restore life. If the hardships and troubles overwhelm you from your family and loved ones, if the harm and insults from the people become too great then know that you have a Lord that will not let you down and you have a Lord that receives all complaints. You have a Lord that shows mercy and loves you, and loves when you call Him and when you turn to Him and supplicate. “Who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and Who relieves its suffering, and makes you (mankind) inheritors of the earth? Is there a Lord beside Allah?!” (Quran 27:62)
